There's no doubt that Benefit Cosmetics knows brows, which is why the brand scooped up two wins during this year's 2021 Readers' Choice Awards. The affordable price tag on Hard Candy's Precision Tip Brow Ink isn't the only reason Allure news writer Nicola Dall'Asen can't put it down. "This brow pen has the perfect amount of pigment for someone heavy-handed like me," she says. "You don't have to be particularly gentle to be able to draw on realistic-looking hairs."

Digital beauty editor Devon Abelman loves Maybelline's Brow Fast Sculpt because its dual-sided brush provides extra control and helps avoid overcoating brows. "It's super easy to use if you have dark brows," she says.

Whether you consider yourself busy or lazy, Tarte's Busy Gal Brows enhancer shapes, holds, and adds natural-looking color all in one swoop with no stickiness, which is why it won a 2018 Best of Beauty Award for best tinted gel.

Naturally By Detailed Eyebrow Definer is a favorite of Allure's digital director Sam Escobar because of its slim shape and long-lasting formula. "This ultrathin pencil is the perfect width for filling in brows with short, quick strokes that look realistic and last all day long," they say.

Abelman says Eyeko's Brow Gel is her go-to on lazy days. "After blending my foundation to airbrushed perfection and drawing on graphic liner, I don't have very much energy left to fill in my brows. This tinted gel takes all of five seconds to sweep through arches, fill in any gaps, and keep them in place all day," she says.
